I'm getting the following error when trying to access my files on OpenDrive:
"47: This file cannot be displayed on this website."
I have made sure that I put in the correct URL in the "File Destination URL" field, as well as copied the links given on the right-hand side correctly, and set my access permission to "Public".
Am I missing something?

You have specified "File Destination URL" for your file as domain name (i.e. http://www.domain.com).
Since we check whole link (getenv("HTTP_REFERER")) where file is located, this won't work for you.
Please enter whole path to your webpage in field "File Destination URL", where is your file displayed.
For instance http://www.website.com/webpage.html.

OK, so what if I am linking to files from a blog? (i.e. http://xxx.blogspot.com) People access our site via this URL, and so there are links on each blog posting (i.e. http://xxx.blogspot.com/2010/01/name_of_post.html) but also on the index page. How would it be possible to allow links to the files from the main page as well as each individual blog posting?

OK, it seems the links suddenly started working for downloading the files, but for streaming it does not. i am using yahoo's embedded media player (http://mediaplayer.yahoo.com/) to stream mp3's on my blog postings, but when i click on a link to start a stream of an mp3 hosted on opendrive, it says it cannot find the file. any help is appreciated...

Each file can have only one File Destination URL at this time. There are 2 ways, how to use file on multiple websites.
- Copy same file with different names into your OpenDrive account and link them to multiple destinations or
- leave field File Destination URL blank.
In regards to media player, please make sure, you will use full link to your file, which starts with http:// and ends with .mp3. Most of web based mp3 players require this link structure.

Thank you very much for your quick support - great service! I managed to get streaming to work by leaving the File Destination URL blank.
P.S. What is the main difference between the streaming and downloading links? They both seem to function in the same manner...

In case of download, file is fully downloaded to your computer and then you can open it.
For streaming, file is downloaded in parts and you can open file even if file is not fully downloaded into your computer. This is good option for bigger files (music, video), you don't have to wait, until file is fully downloaded to play it.
